The first of a new generation of electric trains has taken to the tracks in Scotland this week, and HALCO's products have been part of this new movement.
ScotRail, the brand name used for all Scottish regional and commuter rail services, have used and are continuing to use HALCO's Fire Retardant Hook & Loop within their recent £475m development.
Our adhesive backed range of Hook & Loop is applied with a non-flammable coating - these products are widely used throughout multiple industries and transport sectors from Insulation and HVAC to Aerospace and Rail, meeting many industry Fire Retardant specification requirements.
The Scottish company will be introducing 70 new electric trains over the course of the year and into early 2019, with the hope of releasing two new trains a week. These new trains will allow for:
► 100,000 extra seats every week day
► 42 minutes journey time between Glasgow and Edinburgh
► 25% more carriages in ScotRail's fleet.
HALCO's Hook & Loop Tape is reputable within the Rail Industry, with previous projects including Siemens Rail and The Piccadilly Line.
There isn't a single part of Scotland that isn't touched by this record investment programme.
HALCO is delighted to be supporting the provision of transportation solutions throughout Scotland.
