Project ASCENT

Taking 2019 by storm, the HALCO team came together on Thursday 3rd January to launch Project ASCENT.  With a meticulously prepared strategy stretching to 2020 and a motivated Everest explorer this was set to be a scintillating afternoon before it even began.

The Venue - Hereford Left Bank providing us with top class service yet again...

Kicking off the afternoon, we were joined by our guest speaker Mollie Hughes, a mountaineer, adventurer and motivational speaker.  Mollie Hughes successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest from the North side in May 2017 and this was Mollie’s second time standing on top of the world having already summited the South side of Everest in 2012.  Achieving this feat at the age of 26 made her the youngest woman in the world and the first English woman to successfully summit from both the north and south sides of the world’s highest mountain - a phenomenal achievement.

Mollie has an inspirational story to share and is renowned for giving powerful presentations to a wide variety of audiences, exploring her experiences of climbing the highest mountain in the world.

Following Mollie's inspiring presentation, we launched straight into Project ASCENT - our very own intimidating mountain looms ahead of us with dizzy growth plans, ambitious targets and an ever-growing team.  Yet much like Mollie's Everest trips, months of detailed and forensic planning has been taking place to ensure we can reach our summit....and beyond!

In addition to our strategy we heard from 2 longstanding employees, Marian Zima and Dany Detre, who both gave us insights into their pasts and their journey with HALCO so far.

Overall a hugely successful afternoon, setting up this winning team for what promises to be an exciting 2019!
